Mobile Labs iBook
Bertha Holt Elementary School This project equips an innovative technology education plan that involves putting the necessary computing tools on each child's desk on a regular basis by having four mobile labs throughout the school. Each lab has 15 iBook computers, a media projector and a cart to house them. Why is this project important? The mobile lab project and the technology education plan at Holt Elementary School is important because it will enable every child to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to meet today's challenges in technology and the technology curriculum goals that have been established by the state. Who, and how many, will be served? Several elementary school students each day How will you evaluate the success of this project? Skills will be monitored by teachers as students progress through the curriculum plan framework. Does this proposal build upon existing programs at your school? This proposal builds upon the technology education plan as maintained by the technology subcommittee. Also, our new school has the latest wireless infrastructure but not the necessary computers. How will the funds be spent? One iBook computer.
