Happy Birthday Cesar Chavez

 

 

 

Cesar E. Chavez Elementary School, shared with Family School

 

Students from both schools will plant daffodil and tulip bulbs around the Chavez monument that will bloom every year on his birthday (March 31st).

Why is this project important?

It's important to honor our new building. By having the students and staff of both schools work together on this project is a wonderful example of the beliefs and work of Chavez.

Who and how many will be served?

All 600 students and staff would participate in this project.

How will you evaluate the success of this project?

An all school event is planned close to the birthday of Chavez -- complete with cake and photographs of the monument and flowers.

Does this proposal build upon existing programs at your school?

This is an initial project and each year we'll celebrate the birthday and accomplishments of Chavez at this time

How will the funds be spent?

Purchase of bulbs, fertilizer and cake.
