Gala 2007

October 19, 2007 - The second annual EEF Gala was held last night and raised over $40,000 for schools.  Click here to see the District-wide grants that were funded at the event.  Under the sponsor column those say 'Gala Bidders'. 

Over two hundred people attended the event at the Meeting & Learning Center at Lane Community College.  The Gala featured the following students:

Harris Elementary Marimba Band – A group that needs no amplification!

The Dorians – South High School’s jazz choir.

Brooks Robertson – The 4J student who in 1994, as a Spencer Butte Middle School student, played guitar to win a Prarie Home Companion talent contest.

Classical Trio – These musicians were supplied by Eugene Youth Symphony.

Dessert – SouthFork, a student-run catering business, supplied a stunning chocolate dessert.
